Moreover, it appears that fossil energy sources will dry up very soon considering the rate at which we consume them.
Beyond this idea, their uses are destroying the planet and consequently humans.

It important to engage in a true energy revolution, not by concerns of resource depletion, but on behalf of a climate emergency.

Multiple solutions available to us and many initiatives are being put in place to put renewable energy at the center of our preoccupations.

Recently, we crossed paths a couple of Argentines who have, in Latin American schools, a theater comic-sarcastic on global warming. We also encounter a cyclist atypical. Edgar, who left Colombia with 16 other companions 9 months ago, in Buenos Aires before rallying to perform traje in reverse. Their electrical skills allow him to exchange his services in exchange for a little money, a meal or a roof. Sharing knowledge on the shower Solar, he spoke of the "taller inti" Espinar near Cusco.

After the withdrawal of the peson who was ready to build a solar shower in his hotel on the Island of the Moon (see previous episode), we were to more motivated to discover what was in the studio of Espinar.

Once at the place called (by bus, once will not hurt) we met actors of the project as Luciano, the head of the structure and Carlos, who will manage the future. Present also Constantine who works in Cusco on a similar project and Marcello an engineer in training in the workshop, harnessed to develop a wind turbine from recycled materials.

The project is to develop solar installations are simple and easy application to improve the lives of surrounding communities.

I. Wood oven clay

At first glance, this looks like a conventional oven, cook with small integrated AC on the side. But the picture we can already see a first important detail. II. The greenhouse

Luciano who gave us this house and launched the project taller Inti was sent to Peru by a Swiss NGO Catholic Mission Immensee Belen. The players are sent for three years on a local project. The approach, and philosophy seemed to us interesting. It is far from the projects, where people arrive for a fortnight to do humanitarian. Here, Luciano did not actually pay, just enough to support herself. The money sent by the NGO was used to start the tiller and the promotion workshop (something normally difficult for a small local company) .

Luciano has worked for 8 years in this region is the sunniest of Peru, where the need arises given the difficult living conditions (altitude 4000 m, forests do not exist, access to water complicated, little infrastructure). He put up the workshop, provides trainings for the population and contributes to building infrastructure. He insists that the initiative should come from the communities so that people actually appropriates the installation and can repair it if necessary, pass it on. It is an exchange and not a gift. The equipment must be paid by beneficiaries and the instalation is done in cooperation.

It promotes community-based approaches (the communities are groups of families living in the same locality. Decisions are made jointly, the notions of solidarity and social ties are inherent in operation thereof.
